What will you be working on

This role is a key player in fostering the growth of IXON’s regional market expansion. As Field Marketeer you will become part of our multidisciplinary marketing team. You will regularly share insights and knowledge with field marketers focused on other regions and receive support from our central marketing team with corporate materials.

However, you will have full freedom to develop and implement your own regional marketing activities. Together with a fellow Field Marketeer for your region, you will share the responsibility for the planning, development and implementation of all marketing functions in Germany and Austria. As Field Marketeer your main aim is to increase brand awareness, drive lead generation, nurture customer relationships and strengthen IXON as a thought leader. You will work closely with the regional sales team, (potential) customers and industry peers to understand region-specific market priorities and channels.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gather and share market and customer insights, monitor industry trends and competitor activities to develop effective campaign strategies and programs based on those insights;

  • Deciding on marketing activities, and how to prioritise these, for the best market approach for your region;

  • Generate leads and new business opportunities for the regional sales team;

  • Running and optimising online campaigns, and/or coordinating with a local marketing agency to manage online campaigns;

  • Developing regional marketing assets, such as website pages, blog articles, print advertisements, online banners, content offers, SEA copy, webinars, organic and paid social posts, etc.;

  • Translation and transcreation of centrally available marketing assets for local use;

  • Organising and promoting local trade show participations and (digital) events;

  • Build strong partnerships with local publications, partners and industry associations;

  • Track, analyse and report on the status and effectiveness of field marketing activities, OKRs and KPIs;

  • Maintain budget reports that clearly detail all marketing expenses.

Someone with the willingness to roll up their sleeves and deliver, who is passionate about building an effort from the ground up. This requires great detail-oriented organisational skills, and the ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects at once with a variety of internal and external stakeholders. You're a dynamic communicator who can think strategically as well as practically. A self-motivated, intellectually curious, resourceful and creative individual who always thinks outside the box.

  • A bachelor degree in Marketing or related fields;

  • Multiple years of relevant working experience in a comparable business environment;

  • High level of local market knowledge within the industrial automation sector;

  • Knowledge and understanding of lead generation, inbound marketing and marketing platforms (e.g. CRM, Google Analytics, Ads, Social media, CMS, marketing automation);

  • Strong communication and networking skills;

  • Native German speaker with a clear understanding of the local culture;

  • Fluent in English (so you can communicate with your colleagues)
